Tagline: It’s time to get out.

Several hours have passed since the terrible events that ravaged the old building in Barcelona. After the chaos of the first few moments, the army decided to intervene and an elite group of soldiers infiltrated the building in order to plant detonators and put an end to this nightmare once and for all.

The mission is a success; quick and precise. Angela Vidal, the young television reporter who entered the building with the fireman just hours before, manages to make it out alive. But what they don’t know is that she hasn’t made it out of the building alone; within her she carries the seed of the strange infection.

She is to be taken to a provisional quarantine facility, a high-security installation where she will have to stay in isolation for several days. A perfect location for the virus to be reborn in all its splendour. It will take on new and even more deadly forms, setting the scene for horrors we could only have imagined, before finally revealing its true nature. The apocalypse has just begun…

Director’s Statement – Jaume Balaguero

Five years have passed since while innocently accompanying a group of firemen, the reporter Angela Vidal entered that cursed building in Barcelona and revealed to the world the horrors of an unknown and lethal virus. And through her, we experienced it all first-hand; we felt the same fear and anguish as if everything was happening to us in real life. We followed her in the discovery of confusing and sinister clues on the origin of that abomination: a lethal and contagious illness of uncontrollable fury, the suspicious involvement of the Catholic Church, a dark past hidden in the unfathomable darkness of a forgotten attic…

[REC] Apocalypse

For over five years we have been scrambling around for more clues to help us solve this terrifying enigma. New and disturbing information has come to light, serving to increase the sense of mystery: a young Portuguese girl possessed by the devil, sinister pharmaceutical experiments… and the more we found out, the more we were plunged into uncertainty and darkness.

But now, finally, the moment of truth has arrived: it’s time to discover the true nature of this evil force, the secret of its origin and the monstrous magnitude of its consequences. [REC]4: APOCALYPSE is the ultimate climax; the last, definitive chapter. And it comes to us in the form of a movie which is unique. A film which will take us to new and unknown levels of horror but without abandoning those traits which have become synonymous with the saga: claustrophobia, anguish, fear, fury… A farewell party with all the ingredients that we love the most… and… some very special guests… This is one occasion you don’t want to miss!
