A Sacrifice movie storyline. American ex-pat and social psychologist Ben Monroe (Eric Bana) relocates to Berlin to further his research on the epidemic of cult mentality. While he immerses himself in German cultism, his rebellious teenage daughter, Mazzy (Sadie Sink), becomes entwined with a mysterious and enigmatic local boy (Jonas Dassler).
A Sacrifice is a psychological drama film written and directed by Jordan Scott, and starring Eric Bana, Sadie Sink and Sylvia Hoeks. It is an adaptation of Nicholas Hogg’s 2015 novel Tokyo. Protagonist Pictures and Augenschein Sales have control of worldwide sales jointly. In February 2024, Vertical acquired North American distribution rights to the film, which was subsequently retitled to A Sacrifice in May 2024. The film was theatrically released in the United States on June 28, 2024, by Vertical Entertainment.
