Haunted Heart movie storyline. Álex (Aida Folch) is a Spanish woman who starts a new job in the summer as a waitress in a restaurant on a lost island in Greece. Despite quickly gaining the trust of the Brazilian Chico (Juan Pablo Urrego), Álex falls in love with Max, the American who runs the establishment (Matt Dillon). As their love blossoms, disturbing clues begin to be discovered about Max’s dark and mysterious past.
Haunted Heart (Spanish: Isla Perdida) is a thriller film directed by Fernando Trueba, written by Trueba and Rylend Grant, and starring Matt Dillon and Aida Folch alongside Juan Pablo Urrego, Kika Georgiou, Polydoros Vogiatzis and Marina Argyropoulou.
The film had its world premiere at the Atlàntida Mallorca Film Fest (AMFF) in July 2024. Distributed by BTeam Pictures, the film’s theatrical release in Spain was 23 August 2024. VMI Releasing acquired North-American distribution rights.
