About the Story
The film begins with the scene of the male character giving birth to a baby in the theater at an evening party, and continues with Adriana, a middle-aged woman, an autopsy specialist, and Andrea, a handsome young man who later turns out to be a smuggler of historical artifacts, spending the night together. In this union, the tattoo on Andrea’s crotch attracts attention. In Dorsay’s words, this daring scene continues with Adriana wanting to watch his body, and the man surrenders himself to this woman in all his nakedness.
The man who gets up early for an appointment the next morning answers the woman’s question “What are we?” and adds, “We are whatever you want”, whether he is a lover, engaged or married. They set their next meeting at the Archaeological Museum in Naples. While the thriller and detective part of the film begins here, this is also where male sexuality and the male body come together with art. The woman who went to the museum waits for the man here, syncretizing the male statues there with the body of the man she watched last night. The anatomy of a man is revealed with the harmony of the scenes that follow. The man the woman is waiting for cannot come. The autopsy specialist woman returns home disappointed.
Later, even though he was on leave, he had to go to the hospital in his calm state when his colleague got sick, and he encountered an unknown victim with his eyes gouged out on a stretcher. One of the assistants cuts the victim’s clothes with scissors and the woman notices the tattoo on the victim’s groin. The deceased woman is Andrea, with whom she had sex and fell in love last night. The detective part of the movie increases even more after this point.
Andrea has another twin from whom they were separated when they were children. The woman sees him on the streets of Naples and starts chasing him. Andrea’s twin tells the woman that she is not the person she is looking for, but to confirm this, Adriana checks her crotch for a tattoo in a secluded place. From this point on, Andrea’s twin joins the woman’s life for a while, and in her scenes at home, a male body is revealed in full detail. Adirana then gets closer to the police officer responsible for solving Andrea’s murder, and towards the end, there is a suicide scene.
