Beautiful Rebel tells the origin story of one of Italy’s greatest rock stars, Gianna Nannini, who chased her dream despite obstacles from her family and the music industry. A fragment of the life of one of the most incisive and renowned voices of our music, a thirty years old story starting from childhood and the roots of her life and career, up to her consecration, passing through a turning point that cuts Gianna’s life into two parts, so much so that it is considered her true birth: the year 1983.

The film stars are Letizia Toni, Selene Caramazza, Stefano Rossi Giordani, Teresa Tanini, Maurizio Lombardi, Andrea Delogu, Florin Piersic Jr, Christian Stamm, Angelo Galdi and Lorenzo Aloi. Filming took place in and around Siena, including Piazza del Campo and Torri, a village in Sovicille. It was released on Netflix on May 2, 2024 on Netflix.
