Belle Enfat movie storyline. Emily, a young woman in her thirties and far from her dysfunctional family, is told by one of her sisters that their mother has attempted suicide in Italy. The three sisters rush off to see her, but on their way Emily soon learns that it was actually a fake suicide attempt, a pretext to get her daughters to come to her and throw an end-of-life party – This is a film about family, and the things we have to say to each other, to admit to each other, to repair relationships.

Film Review for Belle Enfant
Both comic book author and screenwriter, Thierry “Jim” Terrasson, thought up, created and developed a film in the Occitanie region. Filming took place in Gigean, with the help of the municipality, and in Montpellier, and will end in September in Genoa, Italy. “I wrote thinking of the actress Marine Bohin for her personality, this raw side of a young Béatrice Dalle. At this period of change, when the young woman becomes a woman. When we get rid of our weaknesses, and that we gain strength and that we become completely adults.
A film that aims to be very feminine: the story of three sisters and their often conflicting relationship with their mother. “A great family reconciliation, on everything we say, what we don’t say” he continues. Her fictional sisters will be Caroline Bourg and Cybèle Villemagne. “My choice fell on them by looking for pleasant personalities, who would get along well on set. There was a real connection with the script,” he insists. Joining them are Baptiste Lecaplain and Michaël Cohen, male figures well known to the general public.
A few thousand euros are still missing
Despite intermittent filming spread over two years, the energy and will remained intact. And for good reason, a film with no budget at the start. “To finance it, I sold illustrations from the comic strip “A Night in Rome”, hence the filming over time: we filmed as we went along, according to the finances available” explains Jim.
Now, an Ulule campaign is launched to raise the few thousand euros missing to finalize the forecasts. Jim managed to unite his team around the project. The technicians, recruited in the region, were seduced by the idea of taking on new challenges, on a feature film: “Rémi Brouchet, the manager; Emmanuel Dauchy, the cinematographer, with remarkable talent, who manages to do a lot things with few means; and Manon Mavor, the assistant, who is on all fronts.
A cinema close to people and generous. The objective: to be touched in the heart by what we see, the discomforts as well as the bursts of laughter. “It’s a huge challenge to achieve but I’m trying to do it, supported by a real team.”
