Eternal Playground movie storyline. Following the death of his twin sister, Gaspard, a young music teacher, brings together his five former best friends in the deserted college of their childhood, in the middle of July. In this place full of memories that they take over as a new place to live, the friends gradually return to their childhood. Suddenly, a heavy truth emerges and undermines this parenthesis of naivety.

La récréation de juillet (French for “July Break”, international English-language title Eternal Playground) is a tragicomedy by Pablo Cotten and Joseph Rozé. The film, starring Andranic Manet, Alassane Diong, Carla Audebaud, Alba Gaïa Bellugi, Nina Zem and Arcadi Radeff, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in June 2024. The cinema release in France was for early July 10, 2024.

The film music was provided by the French indie pop band Kids Return, founded in 2021 and consisting of Clément Savoye and Adrien Rozé. On June 5, 2024, Kids Run released six pieces of the film music on YouTube. A few days later, the soundtrack album was released as a download in extended play by Hamburger Records. The film’s world premiere took place on June 6, 2024 at the Tribeca Film Festival. The first trailer was presented a few days earlier.
