Last Night in Soho Movie Storyline. Young fashion student Eloise (Thomasin McKenzie), obsessed with all things 1960s and harbouring a strange sixth sense, moves to London. Somehow she is able to form a strange connection across time with Sandy (Anya Taylor-Joy) a dazzling young woman who dreams of becoming a star. As Eloise disappears deeper into this rabbit hole and her connection with Sandy grows, everything falls apart in the most surreal way possible.
Last Night in Soho is an upcoming British psychological horror film directed by Edgar Wright, with a screenplay by Wright and Krysty Wilson-Cairns, from a story by Wright. The film stars Thomasin McKenzie, Anya Taylor-Joy, Matt Smith, Diana Rigg, Rita Tushingham and Terence Stamp. The film will mark the final film appearances for Rigg and Margaret Nolan, who died in September and October 2020, respectively.
Last Night in Soho is scheduled to have its world premiere at the 78th Venice International Film Festival in September 2021, and is scheduled to be released in the United States and the United Kingdom on 29 October 2021 by Focus Features and Universal Pictures.
Filming began on 23 May 2019 and wrapped 30 August 2019. The film is said to be inspired by other British horror films, such as Nicolas Roeg’s Don’t Look Now and Roman Polanski’s Repulsion, with Wright mentioning the film’s use of time travel. Wright posted several photos on his Instagram account showing that additional filming had commenced on 24 June 2020 and concluded on 5 August 2020.
Last Night in Soho is scheduled to have its world premiere at the 2021 Venice International Film Festival in September 2021. It will also screen at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2021. It is scheduled be released on 29 October 2021. It was originally scheduled to be released on 25 September 2020, but was delayed to 23 April 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, before being delayed again to October 22, then again to the following weekend.
