There ‘s Someone Inside Your House Movie Storyline. Makani Young (Sydney Park) has moved from Hawaii to quiet, small-town Nebraska to live with her grandmother and finish high school, but as the countdown to graduation begins, her classmates are stalked by a killer intent on exposing their darkest secrets to the entire town, terrorizing victims while wearing a life-like mask of their own face. With a mysterious past of her own, Makani and her friends must discover the killer’s identity before they become victims themselves.
There’s Someone Inside Your House is an upcoming American slasher film written by Henry Gayden and directed by Patrick Brice. It is an adaptation of the 2017 novel of the same name by Stephanie Perkins and stars Sydney Park, Théodore Pellerin, Asjha Cooper, Jesse LaTourette, and Diego Josef. The plot follows Makani Young (Park), a senior transfer student from Hawaii who later finds herself in the center of gruesome murder cases in her newly acquainted town of Osborne, Nebraska.
There’s Someone Inside Your House was announced in March 2018, with Netflix announcing Shawn Levy and James Wan would produce through their respective production banners Atomic Monster and 21 Laps. Principal photography took place the following year in Vancouver with cinematographer Jeff Cutter; additional filming concluded in August 2020. During post-production, editing was completed by Michel Aller and the musical score was composed by Zachary Dawes.
The film is set to premiere at Fantastic Fest on September 23, 2021. The film was initially expected to be released on Netflix in February 2021 but was later delayed to an unspecified date. In August 2021, Netflix announced that the film is set to be released on October 6, 2021.
