You Gotta Believe movie storyline. The film follows a team of Little Leaguers® who dedicate their season to a player’s dying father and, in the process, defy all odds to make it to the Little League Baseball World Series championship in a game that became an ESPN classic and pushed forward the Little League pitch count rule. You Gotta Believe stars Luke Wilson and Greg Kinnear with Luke Wilson playing the role of Bobby Ratliff, the dying father, while Greg Kinnear will portray Coach Jon Kelly.
Little League International has teamed up with Santa Rita Film Co. as a Licensed Partner for the production of You Gotta Believe, an inspirational true story of the 2002 Westside Little League team from Fort Worth, Texas.
You Gotta Believe is an American crime thriller film directed by Michele Civetta and starring Shea Whigham, Olivia Munn, Zach Avery, Bruce Dern, Frank Grillo, Keith David, Taryn Manning, Mark Boone Junior, Jessica Medina, Taegen Burns, Jay Hieron and Alexander Wraith. The screenplay, written by Alexander Felix and originally titled Where Angels Die, was included in the 2013 Black List.
