The protagonist of our film is Rachel (Emily Blunt), an alcoholic who goes out of the house every day saying “I’m going to work”, going to the city center by train, then going home with the same train. The story that Rachel began as a narrator is then twisted and knotted as two other women, Megan and Anna, join us.

As Rachel talks to the audience, we slowly begin to understand why there is a suburban train at the center of the film and why we are constantly drunk and literally run down. In a peaceful suburb of New York with her husband, Tom, Rachel, who has a peaceful life, has never succeeded in having a child, and this unhappiness has dragged her into alcohol.

The Girl on the Train

Rachel, who has been deceived by Tom, is condemned to watch her remarry and this time having a happy life, as if not enough. The train, which he rides every morning and returns home every evening, passes by this happy re-nest and is remembered for the life he lost to Rachel. Megan and Scott, who live in another house right next to their old home, are also spying on the couple, although she is not sure, but she is convinced that they are the ideal couple and that they have a happy relationship.

Rachel’s life, which spends her days watching Tom-Anna and Megan-Scott couples and getting bogged down with each passing day, will change direction with Megan’s disappearance. Because it’s not just where he is. On the morning of the same night, he finds himself awake with blood in his face, and the last thing he remembers is shouting at Megan as “dirty whore ıp and following him. From this point on, Rachel’s obsessive attempt to find Megan is centered around the turmoil of both the men around her and the games her own mind plays on her.
