Faithfully Yours movie storyline. Bodil (Bracha van Doesburgh) and Isabel (Elise Schaap) regularly escape the busy everyday life by going away for a weekend together to the Belgian coast. During these weekends, the friends are each other’s alibi for cheating. They work out all the details carefully so that their spouses never find out. When Isabel goes missing, everything seems to point to a crime. While the police start an investigation and the husbands come to Belgium, Bodil becomes increasingly entangled in the web of lies that she and Isabel have carefully constructed.
André van Duren (De Helleveeg, De Bende van Oss) directed Faithfully Yours and wrote the film script together with Paul Jan Nelissen (Riphagen) and Elisabeth Lodeizen (Vandaag is van ons). Millstreet Films produced Faithfully Yours. The leading roles are played by Bracha van Doesburgh, Nasrdin Dchar, Elise Schaap, Gijs Naber, Matteo Simoni and Hannah Hoekstra. The film was made with the support of the Netherlands Film Fund and Netherlands Film Production Incentive.
The Golden Film, Platinum Film and Diamond Film are awarded by the NFF, the Dutch Film Fund and the Abraham Tuschinski Fund when 100,000, 400,000 and 1,000,000 cinema tickets have been sold for a Dutch film. The Crystal Film is awarded to Dutch documentaries and short films that have attracted 10,000 cinema audience. Faithfully Yours grossed $1.8 million in the Netherlands.
