Skin Deep movie storyline. At first glance, Leyla (Mala Emde) and Tristan (Jonas Dassler) seem like a happy couple. Together they travel to a remote island where Leyla’s childhood friend Stella (Edgar Selge) invited them. As soon as you arrive, it becomes clear that mysterious things are happening here. Numerous couples come together in the last days of summer to see the world through another person’s eyes.

Skin Deep (German-language title Aus Meiner Haut) is a science fiction romance film by Alex Schaad that premiered at the Venice International Film Festival in September 2022 and was released in German cinemas in early February 2023. The film tells the story of a couple who try to save their difficult relationship and go to an island to swap bodies with other people.
