South of Heaven Movie Storyline. Jimmy (Jason Sudeikis) is a criminal sentenced to 12 years in prison for armed robbery. After completing his sentence and being released, Jimmy tries to build a new life for himself. However, upon his freedom, he learns that his childhood sweetheart, Annie, has cancer. Devastated to learn that the woman he loves is at the end of his life, Jimmy promises Annie that he will make sure that his last moments are the best of his life.
South of Heaven is an American crime thriller drama film directed by Aharon Keshales and starring Jason Sudeikis, Evangeline Lilly, Mike Colter, Shea Whigham, Jeremy Bobb, Christina Gonzalez, Thaddeus J. Mixson, Michael Paré, Amaury Nolasco and Jessica Swinney. Filming occurred in Texas in March 2020. It is scheduled to be released on October 8, 2021, by RLJE Films.
