The Christmas Dance (2021)

The Christmas Dance follows Sarah (Kristen Vaganos), a big-city magazine writer who’s forced by her new Christmas-loving boss to write a column about the holiday as part of the magazine’s new family angle. She has to finish her assignment back in her small town after her brother, Sherman Jr. (Miles Faber), is in a serious car accident. While at home, Sarah reconnects with her family — father/town pastor Sherman (Richard Karn), mother Mary (Katherine Kelly Lang), church patrons Brother Moore (Master P) and Sister Grace (Melissa Jo Bailey), and childhood friend Jason (Carson Nicely).

The Christmas Dance is a holiday-themed romcom with faith-based elements about a woman (Kristen Vaganos) who goes back to her small town due to a family emergency, where she reconnects with family and finds love. There’s kissing, a bit of sexual humor (“better late than pregnant”), and some exclamatory use of the word “God.” A car accident happens early in the film, leading to several scenes set in the hospital. Messages revolve around gratitude and courage.
