Trap movie storyline. M. Night Shyamalan‘s latest mystery thriller Trap follows a father and teen daughter attending pop star Lady Raven’s concert, where they realize they’re at the center of a dark and sinister event. In the Trap trailer Hartnett’s character and his daughter, Jody, are at the concert of pop star Lady Raven.
When Hartnett runs off to the bathroom, he sees that there is a heavy police presence at the concert and quickly learns they are there to catch a serial killer. The twist is that Hartnett is the killer they are looking for, and it is revealed on his phone that he is holding a victim hostage.
Trap is an American psychological thriller film directed and written by M. Night Shyamalan. The film stars Josh Hartnett, Saleka Shyamalan, Ariel Donoghue, Hayley Mills, Marnie McPhail, Scott Mescudi, Vanessa Smythe, Jonathan Langdon, Kaitlyn Dallan, Ty Pravong and Kristi Woods. Trap was released in the United States by Warner Bros. Pictures on August 9, 2024. It was previously scheduled to be released on August 2. It will be Shyamalan’s first film with the studio since Lady in the Water (2006).
